Read Thru the Bible Chronologically
Our goal is to help you read Scripture in a
chronological fashion. That is, to read it in the order of the historical
events that it speaks about. So we have arranged the reading of Scripture in
such a way that you can read it in the order of those events in the Old
Testament and in the order of their writing in the New Testament.
Putting the Bible in chronological order is a human
effort that does not find agreement even among those with advanced degrees in
the field of Biblical Study.
Arranging the order of Scripture in a non-canonical
fashion may be frightening to some believers and seen as a violation of the
integrity of Scripture. This arrangement of Scripture is not an attempt to
replace the canonical arrangement of Scripture but to give deference to time as
the setting in which the books of Scripture appear.
